Welcome to St. Matthew's Church

We are here to be a welcoming church, worshipping the Lord our God,

and working together to be witnesses to God’s love for each other and our local community.

To commemorate the anniversary of the end of the First World War a six panel Stain Glass Window was made. This can be seen below. The work was carried out mostly by members of the congregation

 MAKING A DONATION

the easiest way to give is to ask you to choose one of the means of giving through the Diocese of Lichfield that will then be passed onto the church you choose: Receiving Donations Online - Diocese of Lichfield (anglican.org)

For reference, the churches may appear by their local parish names: Birches Head, St. Matthew; Cobridge, Christ Church; Hanley, St. Luke (Wellington); Northwood, Holy Trinity; Shelton, St. Mark.  The parish name for the team ministry that covers all five churches is Hanley, The Holy Evangelists, though this may not appear in all lists that are intended for specific churches.

We also hold a coffee morning, usually on the third Saturday at 10.00am. Do come and join us. You will be glad you did!

History

Built in 1950, St. Matthew's is a fairly new building, nevertheless, it's well worth a visit...
